The homie Jarett wants his stage name to be J-Smooth... I won't let him do that to himself so I've given him the name GisforJarett whether he likes it or not lol. Either way, I came across one of his video logs (they're all pretty funny so check them out) in which he sings his order for chinese food into the phone while playing piano. It's pretty hilarious stuff lol. I even make a cameo. I have no idea what I was recording though. I must have been overdosed sleepy.

Last Sunday Childs' Play and the Why Not? crew made their way out to the slope (Park Slope, Brooklyn) and passed around the mic at Perch Cafe. It was a night filled with fried twinkies, dancing, music and fire spitting (no, litterally). Watch the video if you don't believe me!

You may already know that Mouse Sucks plans to release the first single from his first mixtape, "The Ginyu Force" on October 23rd. The first single just so happens to be about somebody you may know. The beautiful Isis Taylor (The song's title is "Isis").

Oh that's great. I've been back on the grind so you know what that means right?

It means great things are on the horizon. I've already got a few in the bag waiting for the right time.
Unfortunately, I didn't make this blog post to shoot the breeze and hint towards all the great things coming. It's a tad more morbid than that.
It would appear that you guys will have to wait a little longer than expected for me to drop the next single. The flow of music has been put on hold for a little bit while I handle a few things but they will be addressed musically.
 I'm really sorry for the delay guys but I do promise to swing back into motion in a major way. In the mean time make sure to download Success or Death and follow me on twitter. Become a fan of my facebook page and tell all your friends about me.

Capital Ode - Sleep Paralysis log 5-4-2011

 So sleep paralysis is a sleeping disorder in which the victim the person with it body goes to sleep while the mind and body are left active. During this time the person feels like they are completely awake and for some reason they can't move their body. Because the person is "sleeping", though ususally not knowing it, the brain sometimes causes hallucinations (think of a living nightmare). Most people feel like they can't move as a credit to some evil figure holding them down or being present in the room but just out of sight.
I, myself, experience sleep paralysis from time to time and I can tell you from experience it sucks. These episodes of sleep paralysis sometimes seem worthy of a horror movie so I decided to keep a log of mine right here on the Childs' Play blog. I experienced sleep paralysis this morning so it makes a perfect time to start the log. Here goes nothing.---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I woke up early this morning to the sound of loud people downstairs, adding insult to the injury that it took me forever to fall asleep the night before. I layed in bed awake for about an hour until things quieted down. And that's when it all went down... There I was, laying in bed, in my room, all alone, when all of a sudden I heard announcements (like you use to hear every morning in high school) spoken over a loud speaker. I began to think that was a little weird and made an attempt to get up only to realize my body was completely paralyzed.
 My bed is right next to the window and I was laying on my side with my back to the window. I began to feel like something was in the bed behind me that was causing my current imobility. I then began to feel like I was being pushed out of my own bed (but because I'm use to sleep paralysis by now, I was able to notice that even though it felt like I was moving I was still in the same place). I then looked up to see a blurry message written on the dresser that holds up my tv. Unfortunatley, because I wasn't wearing my glasses I couldn't make out what the message said.
 After a few minutes of this, I regained my mobility (woke up) and turned on the tv to prevent me falling back into sleep paralysis...
